Our Favorite Spring Pizza Kit Recipes

The warm weather, bright sunshine and fresh air of springtime gets us craving light, tasty spring food. It's a good thing that when you have Pizza Kits in the fridge, you have all the ingredients for a delicious spring recipe. If you have an upcoming Little Caesars® Pizza Kit Fundraiser, these recipes are great to share with your sellers. Here are two of our favorite spring recipes to try out with your Pizza Kits. 


Turkey Sausage and Veggie Pizza – made with a Cheese Pizza Kit (Recipe from one of our customers. Thanks Cathy from New Hampshire!)


INGREDIENTS:


1 Pizza Kit Traditional Round Crust (thawed)

1 Package of Pizza Kit Pizza Sauce 

1 Package of Pizza Kit Cheese 

6 oz. (3 links) Italian turkey sausage, casing removed, cooked and crumbled

Sliced Green Peppers 

Sliced Onions

Chopped Mushrooms


DIRECTIONS:


Place oven rack in middle of oven. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Remove Pizza Crust from wrapper and spread Pizza Sauce onto crust to 3/4 inch from edge of crust. Sprinkle Pizza Kit Cheese on top of sauce. Top pizza with cooked turkey sausage, green peppers, mushrooms and onions (or other vegetables as desired). Carefully place pizza directly onto oven rack. Bake only one pizza at a time. Bake pizza for 7-9 minutes or until cheese is melted and crust is a golden brown. Ovens may vary, so time and temperature may need to be adjusted. Carefully remove from oven and let cool three minutes. Cut, serve and enjoy! A glass of lemonade and a seat outside are optional. 



Light and Tasty Thin Crust Pizza – made with a Thin Crust Pizza Kit 

  

INGREDIENTS:

 

1 Pizza Kit Signature Thin Crust (thawed)

1 Package of Pizza Kit Pizza Sauce 

1 Package of Pizza Kit Cheese 

Sliced Onions 

Sliced Zucchini 

Sliced Summer Squash 

  

DIRECTIONS:


Place oven rack in middle of oven. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Remove Pizza Crust from wrapper and spread Pizza Sauce onto crust to 3/4 inches from edge of crust. Sprinkle Pizza Kit Cheese on top of sauce. Top pizza with zucchini, summer squash and onions (or other vegetables as desired). Carefully place pizza directly onto oven rack. Bake only one pizza at a time. Bake pizza for 7-9 minutes or until cheese is melted and crust is a golden brown. Ovens may vary, so time and temperature may need to be adjusted. Carefully remove from oven and let cool three minutes. Cut, serve and enjoy! A Thin Crust Pizza is perfect for a warm spring day. Enjoy it with just the ingredients from your Pizza Kits, add your favorite spring vegetables, or layer on different proteins.
